Looking to escape to the wilderness and connect with the land, this client bought a beautiful property overlooking a pond and the valley below.
While the dramatic gothic arches act as the shell of the structure, the design is fully open while still exhibiting a few private spaces within.

With less than 1,000 square feet of liveable space, you can find lots of hidden storage. The winding staircase features a window seat, a wrapping library for their vast collection of books and plants, and plenty of storage underneath.
The direction of the roofline points southwest, offsetting the summer sun’s heat with a partially covered deck while still allowing maximum views into the valley to watch the storms roll in.

With plans to build a large screened porch and reclaimed greenhouse, they will spend most of their time outdoors growing their own fruits and vegetables.

This project is on the boards at Fourth Dimension Architecture so stay tuned for the after photos!
